HC Deb 20 November 1928 vol 222 c1554W
Mr. MALONE

asked the Minister of Transport if his Department has carried out any experiments with a view to obtaining an efficient substitute for woodblock paving in London streets?

Colonel ASHLEY

In paragraphs 66 to 71 of the Report upon the Administration of the Road Fund for the year 1927–28 particulars will be found of the experiments which are being conducted by my Department upon various classes of road materials. The experiments are not aimed, however, at the elimination of any particular method of paving.
