HC Deb 19 November 1928 vol 222 cc1397-8W
Mr. MACLEAN

asked the President of the Board of Trade what action was taken by him or his Department when his or their attention was drawn to the threat by a firm of flour millers to with- hold supplies of flour to a Newport retailer who was supplying bread at a lower price than other similar retailers in the same district?.

Mr. H. WILLIAMS

The matter was, in fact, dealt with by the Food Council, as I stated in my answer of 13th November, to the hon. Member for Barnstaple (Sir B. Peto), and not by the Board of Trade.
