HC Deb 15 November 1928 vol 222 c1125W
Mr. KELLY

asked the Minister of Pensions what hours of attendance are specified in the case of investigating officers in the Ministry of Pensions; and whether he will cause inquiries to be made into the hours actually worked by these officers to ensure that they are not employed upon considerable and unpaid overtime?

Major TRYON

I presume the hon. Member has in mind the inquiry officers attached to area offices. The hours of attendance of these officers are the normal hours for all officers of the grade on which they are borne. I have no reason for thinking that the actual hours worked exceed the normal hours except occasionally by some trifling amount.
