HC Deb 13 November 1928 vol 222 cc704-5W
Mr. W. M'LEAN WATSON

asked the Minister of Transport whether the work in connection with the survey of the proposed road bridge over the Forth has been completed; and when he expects to receive a report on the matter?

Colonel ASHLEY

In view of the wide scope and the difficulties of the investigations which have to be conducted, I do not expect that the report wilt reach my Department until the spring of next year.

Mr. SCRYMGEOUR

asked the Minister for Transport what progress has been made with the operations in prospecting for the proposed Tay road bridge; and whether he can now report on the borings which have been in process for some considerable time?

Colonel ASHLEY

The borings have been completed, but the engineering reports are not yet in my hands.
