§ Mr. BUCHANANasked the Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, how, long the site for the new Employment Exchange in Glasgow has been purchased; how long since the occupants of the same have vacated it; and how long will it be until the new building is proceeded with?
§ Sir V. HENDERSONThe site was purchased in February last and vacated by the tenants at the end of June. I am glad to say that agreement has now been reached as to the other Government staff to be provided for in the building, and that detailed plans are in hand. It is hoped that building operations may begin early in the next financial year.
