HC Deb 12 November 1928 vol 222 cc522-3W
Mr. FORREST

asked the Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department whether, in view of the importance of the South American markets, he will state the measure of assistance being rendered by his Department in connection with the six months' British trade exhibition which it is proposed to hold in Buenos Aires in November, 1929?

Mr. HACKING

The British Chamber of Commerce in the Argentine is proposing to organise a British Empire Trade Fair in Buenos Aires from November, 1930, to February, 1931. I have informed the President of the Chamber that my Department will be prepared to cooperate wholeheartedly so soon as a fully representative committee has been formed, and the necessary arrangements have been made for financing the exhibition.
