HC Deb 21 June 1928 vol 218 c1783W
Mr. MACLEAN

asked the President of the Board of Education whether he is prepared to consider the time spent in attending day classes at a recognised university for a degree by a school teacher who leaves school for that purpose, as counting as service towards superannuation?

Lord E. PERCY

Provision is made in Section 11 of the Teachers (Superannuation) Act, 1925, to meet the case of a teacher whose employment in contributory service in the United Kingdom is discontinued for a period not exceeding one year.
