§ Sir R. THOMASasked the President of the Board of Education whether, seeing that the Sub-committee which he set up last year to inquire and report as to the construction of school buildings has prepared plans and invited estimates for standard types of schools, he will state whether it is his intention, although building costs have fallen, to force local authorities to adopt these plans, and keep within an arbitrary limit of cost, without regard to special local requirements or special local facilities?
§ Lord E. PERCYI should prefer to see the Committee's Report before making any statement upon it, but I have no intention of disregarding either special local requirements or special local facilities.
