HC Deb 04 July 1928 vol 219 c1388W
Miss WILKINSON

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is now in a position to state the cost of postage, telephones, and other miscellaneous expenditure that have been incurred by the Food Council in addition to the figure of £8,072, which was given as the expenditure to 30th April; and what is the total cost, including all items, up to 30th June, 1928?

Mr. H. WILLIAMS

Expenditure by the Food Council on postage, telephones and other miscellaneous services is included in the general expenditure on such services for the Board of Trade as a whole, and could not be estimated without an amount of labour and expense which could not be justified. The cost of the Food Council, excluding these miscellaneous items, up to 30th June, 1928, has been £8,704.
