§ Sir J. GILMOURThe total area of land under crops and permanent grass returned as occupied by tenants on 4th June, 1928, is 3,346,603 acres. No information is available as to the area of rough hill grazings occupied by tenants and owners respectively. As the total rental of the land occupied by tenants has not been ascertained and could only be ascertained by an extensive inquiry, I am not in a position to reply to the last part of the hon. Member's question.
