Mr. MALONEasked the Secretary of State for Air whether he is aware that no time-tables, printed in any language except German, are issued by Imperial Airways for air services from London to European capitals other than Paris and Brussels; whether Imperial Airways are sole agents for Deutsche Luft Hansa A. G. in this country; and whether, in order to encourage commercial air services, he will see that time-tables issued by Imperial Airways are published in English?
§ Sir S. HOAREImperial Airways issue time-tables in English and French for the air services which they operate to France, and time-tables in English, 1981W French and German for their services to Belgium, Germany and Switzerland. They do not operate through services to other European capitals than Paris and Brussels. I have no reason to believe that the present arrangements are inadequate. As regards the second part of the question, Imperial Airways are the principal, but not the sole, agents in this country of the company mentioned.
