asked the Minister of Labour whether he can give the figures of unemployed persons in Liverpool at the end of October in each of the years 1923, 1924, 1925, 1926 and 1927?

The following Table shows the number of persons on the registers of Employment Exchanges in the Liverpool area on the last Monday of October in each of the years 1923, 1924, 1925, 1926 and 1927.

I regret that separate statistics of the numbers employed and unemployed in the sugar-refining industry are not available.
