§ Mr. GRIFFITHSasked the Minister of Labour whether his attention has been drawn to the practice in many districts of suspending the payment of unemployment insurance benefit pending inquiries 2088W as to whether the applicant is a bona fide seeker for employment; if he is aware that contributors who have been paying for 10 years have had their standard benefit suspended because they cannot obtain employment in their own trade; and whether he will issue instructions that in all cases an insured person shall receive standard benefit in accordance with the Act of Parliament so long as he or she is looking for work in their own trade or normal occupation?
