HC Deb 21 November 1927 vol 210 cc1441-2W
Mr. MACPHERSON

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether any application has been made for land for holdings at North Cluanie, Ross-shire; and if the Board of Agriculture proposes to take any action seeing that there is suitable land available?

Sir J. GILMOUR

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As regards the second part, the cost of proceeding with schemes under the Small Landholders (Scotland) Acts on land of the character of North Cluanie is relatively heavy, but I am having the possibilities of settlement there and in the neighbourhood fully investigated.
