§ Colonel ASHLEYI would refer the hon. Member to the Financial Statements included in the Annual Railway Returns for the year 1926 and in the Annual Tramway Return for the year 1925–26. He will there find particulars of the nominal amount of capital of various descriptions issued by each statutory railway company and tramway undertaking. Similar information as regards tramway undertakings will shortly be published for the year 1926–27. I am unable to state the amount or description of the capital of omnibus companies which are not statutory undertakings.
