asked the Secretary of State for Scotland the number of police prosecutions which have taken place in the city of Glasgow during the past year which have arisen from alleged offences by motor omnibus traffic?

The number of police prosecutions in Glasgow during the year ended 31st October, 1927, for alleged offences by motor omnibus traffic was 1,559, made up as follows:

Exceeding the speed limit. 735
Plying for hire without a stage carriage certificate 421
Employing unlicensed drivers and conductors 82
Overcrowding of omnibuses 321

asked the Minister of Transport the number of accidents in the city of Glasgow during the past year which have arisen from the motor-omnibus traffic?

I am informed that 305 accidents arising from motor omnibus traffic in Glasgow occurred between the 1st January and the 31st October this year.
