HC Deb 02 May 1927 vol 205 c1301W
Mr. R. MORRISON

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury what grades of employment in established posts in the Civil Service are included under the category of industrial appointments?

Mr. McNEILL

There are approximately 30,000 established employeés of an industrial character in the Civil Service. Of this number, the great majority are employed in the Post Office or in the Royal Dockyards and other Admiralty establishments. I fear that it would not be possible, within the limits of a reply to a Parliamentary question, to give a detailed list of all the grades in question.
