HC Deb 04 March 1927 vol 203 c724W
Mr. TASKER

asked the Prime Minister whether any, and, if so, what, progress has been made in the matter of the recommendation of the Sub-Committee of the Imperial Conference, 1926, on the standardisation of social insurance schemes throughout the Empire, that the Governments of those parts thereof (including the Irish Free State) where schemes of old age pensions, which have a general resemblance to each other, are now in operation, should endeavour to arrive at a scheme, by reciprocity or otherwise, for preserving or ameliorating the position of migrants in regard to old age pensions?

Mr. AMERY

The action to be taken with regard to the recommendation of the Oversea Settlement Sub-Committee of the Imperial Conference on this subject is at present under consideration.
