§ Colonel ASHLEYI caused a public inquiry to be held at Stockton-on-Tees, and after consideration of the Report of the Inspector and of the representations made at the inquiry, I was not satisfied that the corporation had made out a sufficiently good case to justify the giving of my consent in respect of this particular route, though my consent was given as regards other routes. As regards the last part of the question, I can see no reason to modify the decision which I have already given.
