HC Deb 21 June 1927 vol 207 c1679W
Mr. CLAYTON

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether the inter-Departmental Committee which was appointed in 1926 to consider and report what duties, restrictions, or prohibitions, if any, should he imposed upon substances, other than ethyl alcohol, which are capable of being used as substitutes for ethyl alcohol has yet reported; and, if so, when the Report will be published?

Mr. McNEILL

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative, and the conclusions reached were stated in the reply which I gave on the 19th May to my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for the Louth Division (Lieut.-Colonel Heneage).
