HC Deb 17 February 1927 vol 202 c1134W
Colonel DAY

asked the Home Secretary the number of complaints lodged in the Metropolitan police district for fraudulent conversion or embezzlement of slate or loan club funds during the recent share-out period; and whether it is intended to expedite legislation in this regard.

Mr. R. McNEILL

I have been asked to reply. Thirty-two such complaints were received by the Commissioner of Metropolitan Police during the recent share-out period. With regard to the second part of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to his question of the 25th November, 1925.
