§ Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTERThe latest figures refer to 5th February, and are at present provisional. On that date 695,937 miners are recorded as being at work in England, 195,769 in Wales (including Monmouthshire), and 108,593 in Scotland. The corresponding figures for the 26th April, 1926, were 747,458, 234,077, and 124,646 respectively.
