§ Major AINSWORTHasked the Secretary of State for War the number of officers obtained during the last year for the Regular Army from the Officers' Training Corps; and whether this return is regarded as adequate from the point of view of the State expenditure incurred?
§ Captain KINGDuring the year 1926, 550 officers who had previously served in the Officers' Training Corps were appointed to commissions in the Regular Army. As regards the latter part of the question, I would remind my hon. and gallant Friend that the supply of candidates for regular commissions, important though it be, is not the main function of the Officers' Training Corps.
