HC Deb 21 December 1927 vol 212 c417W
Dr. WATTS

asked the Minister of Health if he has received representations from owner-occupiers of new houses in Manchester calling attention to their objections to the requirements of the local authorities who have served notice requiring the making up of streets; whether he is aware that such notices do not state under what Statute they are issued; that the schedule of work is more costly than is provided by the same authority in respect of municipal houses; and what steps he proposes to take to mitigate this discrimination against the owners of privately-built houses?

Sir K. WOOD

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given yesterday to the hon. Member for Moss Side (Mr. G. Hurst).
