asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury the number of writing assistants promoted to the grade of woman clerk in 1913 and 1918, respectively, and the number who have been promoted to the clerical class or allied departmental clerical classes in 1926–27, together with the number actually employed during each of these periods?
