asked the Minister of Health whether he will give the particulars showing which local authorities have accepted responsibility for bringing the income of blind unemployable men and women up to a stated fixed amount; and will he give the figures in each case?

The following local authorities have accepted responsibility for bringing the income of blind unemployable men and women up to some fixed amount:

County Councils:

  • Brecon.
  • Glamorgan.
  • London.
  • Monmouthshire.
  • Northumberland.
  • Oxfordshire.

County Borough Councils:

  • Bristol.
  • Bradford.
  • Carlisle.
  • Croydon.
  • Gateshead.
  • Halifax.
  • Hull.
  • Leeds.
  • Liverpool.
  • Nottingham.
  • Norwich.
  • Plymouth.
  • Portsmouth.
  • St. Helens.
  • Southend-on-Sea.
  • Walsall.
  • Warrington.
  • York.
