asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will issue a state- ment showing the sums of money allocated to the Edinburgh Veterinary College by the Board of Agriculture for Scotland since the stoppage of the grant to the Glasgow Veterinary College, the amount per annum allocated under the heads of annual grant, grant towards capital expenditure, and the amount allocated in the name of the Animals Diseases Research Association towards finishing and equipping rooms within the college?

In respect of maintenance grant, the figures were £3,584 for the year 1925–26, and £3,656 for the year 1926–27. For the same years the amounts paid in respect of capital grant were £9,541 and £3,293, respectively, while in the present financial year a sum of £302 has been spent under this head up to date. In addition, a total sum of £1,089 has been expended from capital grants to the Animal Diseases Research Association towards fittings and equipment of the college.
