§ Colonel WEDGWOODasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether His Majesty's Government has, in view of the protests made against the Hankow terms of settlement, decided that solutions on such lines cannot be accepted in other treaty ports; and, if so, will His Majesty's Government take steps to determine, in agreement with America and Japan, what other definite solution may be pressed for, regard being had to the circumstances of each case?
