asked the Postmaster-General the number of telephone directories issued to telephone subscribers in Great Britain for the period of each six months during the 12 months ended on the last convenient date?

The number of telephone directories issued to telephone subscribers for each of the two six-monthly periods ended 31st December, 1925, and 30th June, 1926, was approximately:

1st period 1,076,800
2nd period 1,127,700.

I have been asked to reply. The circulation is about 390,000.

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether the advertisements appearing in the London Telephone Directory are let out to private contractors; and, if so, whether this contract is subject to tender?
