HC Deb 09 November 1926 vol 199 c894W
Colonel DAY

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty the total cost incurred by his Department with regard to the dispute with Captain Ball over the payment of £190 for allowances during the War?

Mr. DAVIDSON

The costs so far incurred on behalf of the Admiralty in connection with the claim against Captain Ball amount to approximately £45. This sum has been added to the amount of the original claim in respect of which proofs have been lodged in the bankruptcy proceedings, and, in view of the fact that Captain Ball is understood to possess property to the value of over £10,000, it is expected that the whole amount will be recovered.
