Mr. SAMUELThe Australian Tariff Revision Bill is still under consideration in the Australian Legislature. Certain proposed changes in the tariff, including alterations in duties affecting textile goods, have been given effect to by a Validation Act, and became operative 3rd September, 1925. It is reported that further Amendments have been made as from 4th March, 1926. Particulars of the new rates have been published in the" Board of Trade Journal" of 10th September, 1925, 22nd October, 1925, and 11th March, 1926. I have sent copies of these statements to my hon. and gallant Friend.
