asked the Secretary of State for War how many civilian clerical graded posts under the clerical reorganisation scheme as approved for out-station offices have been allotted to Army pay offices; and how many Grade I, II, and III posts have been allotted to each command, corps, and infantry pay office respectively?

The number of graded posts allotted to the civilian clerical personnel in Army Pay Offices is

Grades I and II None
Grade III 66
The distribution of the 66 Grade III posts between the various Command and Regimental Pay Offices has not yet been decided, and, owing to the special requirements of the Pay Services, the initial distribution will not necessarily be permanent.
