HC Deb 04 March 1926 vol 192 c1642W
Mr. ROBINSON

asked the Minister of Pensions the number of men demobilised in 1919, and whose claims, if any, to pension would be barred during 1926 under the operation of the seven years' limit laid down in the War Pensions Act, 1921; and whether any action is contemplated to call the attention of the men to the expiry during the current year of the period in which claims for pension must be submitted?

Major TRYON

I regret I am not in a position to give the information desired by the hon. Member, but I understand that demobilisation proceeded gradually during the years 1919 and 1920. Steps have been taken by me, as well as by my predecessors, to give the fullest publicity possible to the operation of the time limit by the exhibition of posters in all post offices and in other public buildings, and in all local offices of the Ministry.
