HC Deb 02 March 1926 vol 192 cc1259-60W
HALL

Sir F. asked the Postmaster-General whether the Federation of Postal Workers is represented on the Whitley Council for the Post Office service; and, if not, the reason for this?

Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSON

I understand my hon. and gallant Friend to refer to the National Federation of Postal and Telegraph Clerks. The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. Representation on the Post Office Whitley Council is confined to certain associations specified in the constitution, of which this body is not one. The constitution can only be modified by agreement between the two sides of the Council.
