HC Deb 02 March 1926 vol 192 c1260W
Colonel DAY

asked the Postmaster-General what steps are being taken to overcome the telephonic congestion at the Hop Exchange, covering Southwark subscribers, and when it is expected that such congestion will be overcome?

Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSON

There is no restriction on the acceptance of applications for telephone service in the area served by the Hop Exchange. Additional exchanges to serve parts of this area will be opened in the near future, as required.
