HC Deb 21 June 1926 vol 197 c45W
Colonel DAY

asked the Secretary of State for War what sum is drawn weekly by a soldier in hospital more than six days in Health Insurance benefit and in wages, respectively?

Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANS

No health insurance benefit is payable to a soldier in respect of sickness during his colour service. With the exception of stoppages of pay enforced when the confinement to hospital is due to an offence or to sickness due to the soldier's own fault, he continues to receive his normal rate of pay while in hospital.
