HC Deb 25 February 1926 vol 192 c745W
Colonel DAY

asked the Minister of Health the grounds on which individual members of the Southwark Board of Guardians have been surcharged in respect of payments made under their authority by the relieving officers of the borough; and why individual members have been surcharged?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

It is the duty of a district auditor to report to me when a disallowance or surcharge has been made by him. I have not yet received any report as to a surcharge in the case referred to in the question.
