Since 31st March, 1924, 32 sets of plans have been submitted to the Department by the West Riding authority. Of these 23 have received final approval and provide, by way of new schools or enlargements or replacement of existing schools, 8,187 school places in all. The remaining nine cases, involving the provision of about 2,300 new school places and the replacement of 1,290 others, are still in various stages of consideration.
