HC Deb 23 February 1926 vol 192 c345W
Colonel DAY

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether any agreement has yet been discussed by British film producers and his Department in regard to the production of British films; and whether any financial assistance has been promised in regard to the proposed national studio at Brighton?

Sir B. CHADWICK

The position of the British film industry has been discussed with representatives of the various interests concerned, and I hope to be able to make a statement on the subject shortly. The answer to the second part of the question is in the negative.
