HC Deb 15 February 1926 vol 191 c1550W
Colonel DAY

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he is aware of the fact that 5,000 employés of the Madras and Southern Mahratta Railway Company sent a memorandum of their grievances to the agent of that company in April, 1924; that up to the present time no notice has been taken of their appeal; and whether an inquiry will be held in the matter?

Earl WINTERTON

I have no information, and the matter is one in which my Noble Friend is not prepared to intervene. The railway in question is not a State-worked railway.
