HC Deb 11 February 1926 vol 191 c1246W
Mr. SCURR

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India what percentage of the Bombay cotton mills are provided with safety devices for the protection of the workers; and what steps have been taken to compel all the mills to provide these appliances?

Earl WINTERTON

I shall be glad to furnish the hon. Member, if he so desires, with a copy of the Bombay Factory Report for 1924, which contains the information available regarding the extent to which safety devices are provided and particulars of the prosecutions instituted against employers.
