§ Mr. LAMBasked the Minister of Health whether he has received any representations as to the desirability or otherwise of imposing a statutory obligation upon persons laying out new streets to make provision for the drainage of surface water from the roadway prior to new houses abutting upon such streets being passed as fit for human habitation?
§ Mr. NEVILLE CHAMBERLAINI have not received such representations. I may add that some urban authorities have included provisions for dealing with surface water in by-laws made under Section 157 of the Public Health Act, 1875.
