HC Deb 09 February 1926 vol 191 cc864-5W
Mr. LAWSON

asked the Minister of Health how many houses for the working classes in each of the parishes of the rural district of the Isle of Wight were out of repair at the end of 1925; how many of those houses were in a state so dangerous or injurious to health as to be unfit for human habitation, or so out of repair as to be not worth repairing; how many closing orders and repairing notices were issued by that local authority during 1925; how many of the notices so issued were complied with, and how many enforced in case of non-compliance; and how many inspections, exclusive of reinspections, were made during that year by that authority under Section 8 of the Housing Act, 1925, and the corresponding enactment repealed by that Act?

Sir K. WOOD

The annual Report of the Medical Officer of Health for the year 1925 is not available, but my right hon. Friend is asking the local authority to furnish him as far as possible with the information the hon. Member desires, and will communicate further with him.
