asked the Minister of Transport if ho is aware that Belgian produce, placed on boat trains from Harwich, is delivered in London quicker than similar produce from Spalding, Lincolnshire; and will ho make representations to the railway companies serving the Lincolnshire district with a view to delivery from that district being speeded up?

I am informed by the railway company that, although Spalding traffic has to be collected and assembled for transit to London, whereas Harwich traffic from the train ferry does not, delivery in London is normally effected from both places on the day following dispatch
