§ Major TRYONThe effect of the cost-of-living figure on the rates of pension is determined by comparison with the cost-of-living figure for the year 1919. In the event of any change in the present basis 951W of calculation, adequate means will, I understand, be adopted to ensure any necessary comparison with figures prior to the change.
