§ Mr. RENNIE SMITHasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if the disarmament of Germany is now sufficient to render possible the initiation of a general limitation of the armaments of all nations as indicated in the preamble of Part V of the Peace Treaty?
Mr. SAMUELAs the House is aware from the papers which have been published, Germany, has not, as yet, strictly observed the military clauses of the Treaty of Peace. Only when the existing omissions have been fulfilled will it be possible to deal with the question of general disarmament.
