§ Sir F. SYKESasked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he can arrange for the publication in future Estimates of a statement, similar to that published in Army Estimates, showing the annual cost of maintenance of the Navy as distinct from annual cash expenditure thereon?
Mr. DAVIDSONI regret that it would not be possible to furnish the statement without a considerable alteration of present accounting arrangements, involving increased expenditure for staff; but I would draw my hon. and gallant Friend's attention to the supplemental information which is given on pages 1 and 2 of the Navy Estimates and in the footnotes on pages 46 and 100.
