By Competition 232 13 31 By promotion of Writing Assistants. 39 97 66 By promotion of members of the Typing Grades. 30 14 1 The figures for promotions refer to promotions notified to the Civil Service Commissioners. It is possible that in some Departments all promotions have not as yet been notified to the Commissioners.
