§ Colonel DAYasked the Secretary of Stale for Foreign Affairs whether it is proposed to enter into any agreement with Imam Yahya, of the Yemen; and whether His Majesty's Government acquiesce in his recent seizure of Hodeida?
§ Mr. AMERYI have been requested to reply to this question. As I informed my noble Friend the Member for Shrewsbury (Viscount Sandon), in reply to a question asked by him on the 31st of July, negotiations for a treaty with the Imam of the Yemen are at present proceeding. His Majesty's Government do not feel disposed to make any objection to the seizure by that ruler of the port of Hodeida, which he claims as part of his ancestral dominions.
