THOMSONasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he is aware that there are 900 redundant second division clerks awaiting absorption to any of the 3,534 training grade executive posts that may become vacant other than the 26 reserved to women; and that the result of this is that no open 2439W competition will be held for this grade for many years to come; and whether he will increase the number of posts allocated to women so as to give them that equality of opportunity promised by the House on 5th August, 1921?
